Our Captain we had tae bury O !
Green grows the birch upon
bonnie Ythan Side.
And low lies the Lawlands o’
Fyvie O !
Our Captain’s name was Ned, he died for a maid,
He died for the bonnie lass
a’ Fyvle O !
