Footnote : A song about Scotland's first-ever World Boxing Champion by one of Scotland's greatest folk-song writers and performers to mark the one hundredth song in the 'Sing A Sang At Least' series. Glasgow-born Benny Lynch knocked out Jackie Brown in the second round to win the World Bantamweight Title in Brown's home-town of Manchester, England, on 9 September 1935. Both Benny Lynch and Matt McGinn were wee men with big hearts and they both, unfortunately, died in sad circumstances.
