Nae ruined stanes.
The biggins are  mukkil
Glowerin stranglie doun on
The cantraips o the day.

Biggit tae byde
Their creators gane
Alsweil their patrons,
Nae glorie nou.

A warld awaw
Masons darged tae heize
Until the lift
A permanence o Habsburg pouer.

Anerlie trinkets and biggins
Are left ahint,
The public corp
Efter sax hunner year.

Ye canna ruin stanes?
Thae stanes staund
There is nae rubble
But ruins aw awround.
